SAG Awards 2011

The SAG Awards were last night and I have to be honest, the dresses were not as exciting as the Golden Globes! I feel like maybe it's because there were less people there, but I really hated some of the dresses that I saw on the red carpet. Regardless, there were still some wonderful dresses that I picked out. I saw a lot of reds and pinks again, which I'm still not hating! Also, a lot of these are actresses that I liked at the Golden Globes as well, so I can't wait to see what they wear for the Oscars! I feel like these awards shows are build-up for everyone to pull out their best look at the Oscars, and since its been overall good this year, I'm really excited to see what everyone wears! Anyway without further ado, here are my favorite picks from last night!

Mila Kunis definitely stole the show in this red Alexander McQueen gown. She looks absolutely stunning and this dress is definitely something I would wear! She was my favorite of the night, and from twitter and other fashion blogs I can tell that I'm not the only one! Mila definitely made a statement in this dress!

I think I'm having a major girl crush moment with Natalie Portman, and I loved her showing off her baby bump in this white Azzaro dress; Lea Michele always wears Oscar de La Renta, probably because she looks amazing in it, and she definitely looks amazing in this sparkling blush gown! I also love her big wavy hair; I thought Tina Fey looked so amazing and so elegant in this red detailed gown, also by Oscar de La Renta.

I wasn't sure about including Dianna Agron here, I didn't like her heavy make-up and hair, but that vintage Chanel dress is to die for; I thought Claire Danes looked great in this Louis Vuitton gown, and that she styled it well; January Jones is really always a favorite for me, and she did not disappoint last night in this beautiful Carolina Herrera gown. And I absolutely loved her updo!

Poésy In

While looking through Fashion Gone Rogue, I saw this great editorial from Marie Claire featuring actress Clémence Poésy. Now, I know her best as Fleur Delacouer from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and when I saw her on Gossip Girl this past season I don't think I could get over that fact that she was Fleur! But she keeps popping up everywhere, and she looks absolutely gorgeous in this editorial. I really love the flirty and subtly sexy looks that they styled her in. I love how feminine and sultry she looks and I could definitely see myself wearing a lot of these outfits. I especially love the striped Marc Jacobs cardigan paired with the Theory miniskirt and Fendi platforms!

Can't Get Enough

I know I just posted Proenza Schouler Pre-Fall 11, but I really can't get enough Proenza! First off, love the Spring 11 campaign - the ads are the perfect mix of pretty and tough. They will probably make it on to the wall once I get my hands on a hard copy. And I will definitely be painting my nails peach orange as soon as the warm weather rolls around.
Then I had to share the Pre-Fall accessories because they're amazing and I NEED a PS1 bag in my life. If only, if only...

Sweater Dressing

I've been obsessed with sweaters this winter, wearing them in every which way I can think of. I paired this new tan sweater (thanks Santa!) with a fur vest and accent necklace the other day to go to class. One thing about fur vests in the middle of the winter - I always used to think my old roommate was crazy because she would wear only her fur vest out when it was like 30 degrees (F) and windy in the city! But really wearing this vest under my parka was the most uncomfortable thing ever, especially on the train. I can't decide if I should man up and bear the cold (or the discomfort) to wear this again or just wait until it gets a bit warmer! Also, I'm wearing one of my favorite pairs of boots (all my boots are my favorite pair of boots) that are Kensie but I got them at a great price from Marshalls. Yes, I am a Maxxinista or whatever and I love it!

Golden Globes 2011

Award season has started!! I love award shows and love love watching the red carpet for all the glamorous looks. The Golden Globes last night were great, I was happy with all the winners and I really think everyone looked great this year - there were a lot more well dressed than not!! It was pretty hard for me to narrow down favorites because everyone looked great but I got it down to my 10 favorites!

Something that stood out to me was that a lot of the people on my list are wearing shades of pink, which is weird for me. Back in the day when I was a really cool (read: dorky) middle schooler, I went through a phase where I was obsessed with pink and basically everything in my room was pink, but I got so sick of that so quickly that I vowed off pink for good. To this day, pink has been one of my least favorite colors - I can count the number of pink items of clothing I own on one hand. But lately, its been growing on me again. It started with peaches more, but now, as you can tell by my favorites, I'm actually into pink right now. We'll see how this affects my wardrobe! Anyway, here are my favorites from the Golden Globes!

Emma Stone was hands down my favorite of the night. Like I said, I've been loving the color peach and she just looks absolutely stunning in Calvin Klein Collection. And although I'm a fan of redheads, I love her as a blonde. Newest girl crush? I think yes!

Anne Hathaway in Giorgio Armani Prive - I feel like only she could pull of this dress but she does it beautifully; Dianna Agron channeling Betty Draper or Grace Kelly (or both!) in J. Mendel; Leighton Meester also looking great in sharp shoulders in Burberry Prorsum.

I was so happy that Natalie Portman won Best Actress for Black Swan! She definitely deserved it after an amazing performance and she looks absolutely stunning with her baby bump in Viktor & Rolf; January Jones in Versace - WOW hello Vixen! She looks amazing with a red dress and red lips; Jennifer Lawrence, from Winter's Bone, looks elegant yet fun and modern in this black Louis Vuitton gown.

Angelina Jolie also wore sharp shoulders last night, but in a gorgeous emerald green Atelier Versace gown; Mila Kunis, also in emerald green, looking beautiful in a one-shouldered Vera Wang gown; Amy Adams looks amazing in this one-shoulder Marchesa gown - I love the laser cut details in the bodice.

Proenza Schouler Pre-Fall 2011

Oh my bloggers, I can't even. Proenza has definitely become of a favorite, and pre-fall does not fail me! There aren't even words anymore to express how much I love Jack and Lazaro. The fair-isle knits, the color palette, the prints, the tailored dresses - just give me, please! Needless to say, I can't wait for fashion week.

Heavy Looks

Because I'm starting to love winter more and more and I can't stop wearing lots of layers with big sweaters, my (fake) fur vest and even bigger scarves. This editorial has all of my favorite things right now. Enjoy!
