NYFW Favorites, Part 2

You know the drill, five favorites for today!!

Charlotte Ronson - Loved her spring collection, and love this so much too! I love the jumpsuits so much.

Erin Fetherston - This collection was inspired by Nico!! So, of course I love it. To see my love for the Velvet Underground and Nico, check out this post!

Jen Kao - Love the knitwear dresses, and the color palette in this collection.

Luca Luca - Again, love the color palette with this, and the jackets are all so beautiful!

Marc Jacobs - Watching the live stream of this was amazing. The cardboard, the set up, the music! It was all so breathtaking. I loved all the colors, and what I loved most were the beautiful beautiful silhouettes!

NEW NEW NEW York Fashion Week!

I've been a terrible blogger! My new schedule is pretty busy and I haven't found time to sit down and really write anything. I decided that since I don't really have time to post a lot of written things, I'm gonna try and post more often even if it's just pictures. So, I made the layout bigger so that I could post bigger pictures too!! What do you guys think of the new header??

Anyway so it's fashion week!!!! A post with all my favorite shows is sure to come this weekend! In the meantime I have a few things to share with you guys:
+Thanks to FIT I've been volunteering at some small shows lately! Saturday morning I volunteered for a designer on the rise, Loris Diran. It was so much fun even if my job was setting up the room where the show was at at the Bowery Hotel. His collection was a very sophisticated wearable look, I loved a lot of it. It was just such a great experience seeing everything behind the scenes!
+That night I volunteered for a new swimsuit designer from Brazil, A.Z. Araujo. This was in a studio in Chelsea and I did a lot of the same work as the previous show. Since I was also seating people, I got to network and then watch the show, and let me tell you, no one could hate gorgeous male models in speedos.
+Today I volunteered for ELLE's Style 360 at Studio 37! The shows they held today were bebe, WALTER, and Clandestrine Industries by Pete Wentz. While WALTER may have been the only clothes I would have worn, the experience was great! I did the same setup and run errands work again, but I got to see the last two shows, and I even got to sit second row for WALTER, behind Kelly from NYC Prep. I also saw Kim Kardashian, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz. Ashlee Simpson has the skinniest legs ever! It was a long day, but so much fun!
+Lastly I want to post pictures from Alexa Chung for Madewell's Fall 2010 presentation. I'm obsessed.

February inspiration

Hello there bloggers! Hope you're having a good weekend. So it's the beginning of the month which means it's inspiration board time! Isn't it funny that no matter what you do, February always makes you want to wear hearts, lace, bows and red?! Well This month I tried to embrace all those things but with a twist. I've definitely been more inspired to channel more of a romantic vintage look this month instead of the kitschy 90's look. The vibe of the 40's has been taking over the fashion world and it's definitely on my radar this month! Here's my inspiration:

suede pumps, red, burgundy, pearls, lace, vintage, the 40's, high-waisted shorts, sheer, soft pink, shiny lavenders, chanel (of course), sharp shoulders, and Scarlett O'Hara.

the month of love

Happy February bloggers! Inspiration board and post to come soon (probably this weekend), so be on the look out for that! In the meantime, and in the spirit of the month of love, I wanted to share with you guys two editorials that I'm in love with. Charlotte Kemp Muhl and Sean Lennon, partners in love and music, have been all over the place this month. Probably because they are so lovely together! I love Charlotte Kemp Muhl so much, and love them together. I've been obsessed with them for a while and seeing them in not one but two editorials this month made me so excited! The first came into my very own hands when I recieved this months issue of NYLON in the mail! The spread is called "This Is a Love Song" and is photographed by Justin Hollar. It features a great interview with the both of them along side romantic photos of the two of them, in which she looks beautiful!

Then, thanks to Fashionising, I found an editorial from this month's L'Officiel Russia. Photographed by Jonathan Pozniak, "All You Need is Love" features Charlotte in beautiful lingerie inspired pieces accompanied by Sean in a beautiful home setting. I love her outfits so much in these!

Also, I'd like to thank the lovely Sidney from I Don't Like Bananas for giving me the Beautiful Blogger Award!! Her blog is so so cute and filled with gorgeous photos for inspiration! Thanks so much Sidney :) So I have to list seven things that I love to do:
1. take photos, but I'm not a photography buff or anything
2. find new music
3. listen to music while doing absolutely nothing else
4. go shopping, of course
5. make stuffed animals/ pillows
6. go on dates with my boyfriend :)
7. go adventuring with friends

So I'll pass this on to: In Bug's Drawers, The Society of Style, Neutral Tuesday, Idylle, and English Eccentric
