Paris Fashion Week Favorites

Hello dear Bloggers! It's finally, finally time for my favorites from Paris Fashion Week! There were many that I loved and was inspired by, but in an effort to keep this to one post and not bore you guys to death(!), I decided to dedicated this post to my classic designer loves. These are lines that I've continued to love through various seasons, and whose fall lines I think embodied their name perfectly while still keeping it fresh and new. Basically, perfection.

Balmain - The sharp shoulders, embellishment, and shine - amazing!

Chanel - Loved the Winter Wonderland that the show was set in, and I really loved all these pieces, I really want a pair of those white/black toe boots!

Chloe - The neutrals, the pantsuits oh my, so beautiful!

Miu Miu - I loved the doll-like feel and the pops of bright colors!

Sonia Rykiel - Knits, knits, knits and the classic stripe - so cute!

Valentino - Loved the ruffles so so much.

Yves Saint Laurent - This collection really made me love green, which is strange, but they did it perfectly! I loved it all.

Now that I'm officially done covering Fall/Winter 2010, I wanted to tell you guys that I have a lot of new and exciting things planned for this blog - be on the lookout for some great inspiration and ideas that are soon to come!

Hello bloggers - It's finally time for my favorites from Milan, as promised I managed to keep it to one post, and chose four collections; enjoy!

Albino - I really loved the capes and silhouette that Albino showed for fall, and the prints were so so pretty!

I loved the black, the menswear-like detailing, the prints (polka dot, leopard, floral) the lingerie inspired looks, the army of models, even the little iPod bags and matching headphones! I don't even know how I managed to choose 6 (okay 7) looks!!

Jil Sander - The prints! the plaid! the tweed! Love.

No. 21 - I really loved the menswear inspired button-downs and trousers and the pops of color in this collection!

March Inspiration, LFW and more

Blogging is hard to keep up with when feeling under the weather!! But the good news is that I'm feeling a lot better and the weather is beautiful and so I'm back!! Since I'm so behind, this post is basically going to feature a lot of good miscellaneous things! The March Inspiration Board, my final favorites from London, and some coverage of the 2010 Fusion show: so get ready for goodies !!!

First, March is a great month cause its finally transitioning into Spring! Cliche as it may be, I couldn't help but be inspired by the Alice in Wonderland theme, especially after loving Tim Burton's new movie. (If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend you do!) The florals and tea party settings that remind me of spring are the perfect inspiration, but since we're still transitioning I'm also feeling a lot of denim and nude colors this month. Especially denim on denim, my new favorite.

And now my last two favorites from London, finally! I'm probably going to do Milan in one post and Paris in two, even if it'll be really hard!, because at this rate I'll never finish! haha Anyway....
PPQ - Love the black and gold, and all the sharp lines and cuts in these pieces

Twenty8Twelve - I loved their Spring collection, and their Fall one is just as good! The colors, the velvet, and the boho vibe mixed with something edgy is so so perfect.

Moving on, I wanted to tell you guys about an event I went to on Sunday, the FIT Parsons Fusion Fashion Show!! For 11 years, FIT and Parsons have held an annual fashion show in the spring where 15 designers are chosen from each school, and prizes are given out for Best Designers and Best Overall school! Past Fusion-ers have included Chris Benz, Prabal Gurung, Vena Cava and Alexander Wang, so it's exciting to see designers starting out who could be huge in the future! I was really blown away by the skill level in the designs I saw, these really are talented people! Also, FIT won best overall school!!! So that was exciting, and so I thought I'd show you a collage of some of my favorites from FIT!

Lastly, I wanted to thank some lovely blogs for some awards I've gotten recently - I'm so so grateful!!
I recieved the Superior Scribbler award from La Tienda de la Telarana - they are an online showroom from Spain who sell some great pieces, definitely check them out!
Then I recieved the Sunshine Award from Couture - she has great fashion coverage, outfit posts and beauty posts!
I also recieved the Sunshine Award from Jewel in the Sand! - Check out this blog for beautiful pictures and outfits!!
Thanks all of you so much, and thanks to all my lovely readers; every single one of you deserve these awards!!

I'll be back soon with favorites from Milan and Paris

NYFW Final Favorites, and LFW Favorites Part One!

So even if we're already moving on to Paris Fashion Week, I'm slowly moving on to the end of my New York favorites and the beginning of London. I'll wrap up London in just two posts so I can move on, it's just have seen so much I love this season!! Also, this weekend we'll take a break for the montly inspiration board, this time moving onto spring inspirations with the lovely month of March! Anyway, on to more favorites:

Paris 68 - I loved the overall look and feel of this collection, and the capes are so beautiful.

Proenza Schouler - Oh my, Proenza Schouler, your line is so so so beautiful. Please, if I ever become a famous blogger send me a pair of those amazing amazing white graffiti skinnies (which are a collaboration with J Brand!). Since that probably won't happen, maybe I'll jsut save money by never buying groceries again. They are so beautiful.

Vena Cava - Again with this collection the overall feel did it for me, and I really think the hats and round sunglasses were the perfect touches.

And now, London:

Burberry Prorsum - I'm obsessed. First the Spring collection was amazing, and now this. Christopher Bailey, you're great. How did I even pick only six looks???

House of Holland - Holland usually isn't my cup of tea, but I thought this collection was worth mentioning because I really love the whole collegiate chic look that is so so easy to pull off in a rushed morning and look good. And the tights, I loved the tights.
